Discover Ibiza's hidden beaches

During the summer months the island of Ibiza is one of the busiest places in the Mediterranean, thanks to its international recognition. Even so, there are always remote corners far from the crowds that only a few know about. At Aguas de Ibiza Grand Luxe Hotel we immerse you in two of the most hidden beaches on the island of Ibiza so that you can enjoy its tranquillity during the summer months.

Cala d’en Serra beach

This is a small, 40-metre-long beach located in the north of Ibiza, 3 kilometres from Portinatx, in a picturesque setting of beach huts and crystal-clear waters, completely off the usual routes taken by tourists on their summer holidays on the island of Ibiza. A hidden, secluded and unspoilt beach with a charming beach bar serving simple meat and fish dishes, as well as a few sun loungers and umbrellas.

Due to its difficult access, the beach of Cala d’en Serra is an isolated and little known bay, but in spite of this it has a small beach bar where you can have something to eat or drink with incredible views of the beach. You can also visit the tiny deserted beach on the other side of the cove by following the footpaths. In fact, the area around the beach is popular for hiking trails, as there is a well-marked path that runs along the coast all the way to the lighthouse.

The entrance to the sea is very comfortable as it is shallow and mostly of fine sand. In addition, the water is usually very clean and transparent, and there are not usually many boats moored in the beach, so it is ideal for swimming and snorkelling. It is undoubtedly one of the hidden beaches that you cannot miss on the island of Ibiza if you are looking for peace and quiet during the summer months.

Es Portitxol

This is a small cove of rocks and gravel 50 metres long located 5 kilometres from San Miguel in the north of the island of Ibiza. Es Portitxol, which in Ibicencan could be translated as ‘little port’, is a hidden and sheltered beach that serves as a small port for the fishermen of the area, who have a large number of picturesque dry dock huts scattered around the cove.

Es Portitxol is a very isolated beach completely off the beaten track that tourists take during their summer holidays on the island of Ibiza. It is only frequented by fishermen who have their shacks there due to its complicated and long access. To get to the beach you have to take a short walk of about 30 minutes along the coast and down a path through the cliff.

In exchange for its difficult access, this beach offers exuberant nature, clean and crystalline waters, and absolute tranquillity far from the crowds during the summer months. It should be noted that there are no services of any kind in the beach and it is necessary to be well stocked with water and food. Undoubtedly, this practically virgin beach, with its impressive natural beauty, is a must if you are looking for hidden beaches during the summer months on the island of Ibiza, as it is far from the tourist areas and is rarely visited.

The island of Ibiza is definitely an island for all tastes, both for those looking for vibrant atmospheres and for those looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday. Stay at Aguas de Ibiza Grand Luxe Hotel to discover the hidden beaches of the island of Ibiza where you can enjoy absolute tranquillity during the summer months.
