Tips for radiant skin in summer

Summer´s here and we want you to enjoy your upcoming holiday to the max. Would you like to learn how to prepare your skin for the summer sun? We´ll tell you how to improve the appearance and the health of the largest organ in your body, your skin.

Exfoliation

By removing impurities and dead skin cells from the surface of your skin, you´ll allow it to breathe more efficiently. This is the first trick to showing off your skin this summer season.

Exfoliation helps us to improve the texture of the skin, and brighten your overall complexion. However, you must be aware that using exfoliators before going out in the sun can aggravate the harmful effects of radiation.

Hydration

Remember that when we talk about hydration, we refer to it both inside and out. In summer, your body needs more water as the heat makes us thirsty. Listen to your body and remember to drink lots of water.

Hydrating the skin also encourages a bright and uniform appearance.

The face, neck and hands are the least protected parts of the body, as we don´t tend to cover them. For this reason, it´s recommended we nourish and hydrate them twice a day during the summer months.

Treat yourself whilst on holiday; enjoy a face or body treatment. You can choose which most appeals to you from our list of treatments. If you´d like to nourish and soften the skin on your face, ask for our intensive moisturizing renewal treatment.

Protection

We´ll let you in on a secret….The first and last hours of the day are the best times to go to the beach in Ibiza. It´s when the water is at its best – take advantage! You must remember that UV radiation is more harmful at midday.

Avoid sun exposure between 11am and 4pm. Midday in Ibiza is the perfect time to sit down for a spot of lunch in the shade on a pretty terrace, take a nap in your hotel room or relax in our spa, a temple for personal care.

If after all this you do still burn, give your skin enough time to recover. Wear a nice hat and cover your body with light, comfortable clothes.

Now that you know how to look after your skin in summer, don´t forget to keep caring for it all year round.
